Planning Minister Khaled Battal set, on Monday, the date for sending the 2021 budget to the House of Representatives, while confirming that salaries are secure.

“Within two days, the budget will be sent to the House of Representatives, and the salaries are secured,” Battal said in a tweet.

He added, “Fuel prices will remain the same, and there will be no taxes on hairdressing and beauty salons and others.”

The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, confirmed, Monday, December 21, 2020, that the budget will not affect the salaries of employees from the two classes, which constitute the majority of the people.

“The budget will not affect the salaries of the employees of the two classes that make up the majority of the people,” Al-Kazemi said in a press conference followed by (Baghdad Today), indicating that “the target in this budget are the upper classes.”

Shafaq News / The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced, on Monday, the arrest of a number of people suspected of bombing the Green Zone on Sunday, in addition to the arrest of security leaders.

Al-Kazemi said in a press conference, after an extraordinary session of his government, during which it approved the budget for next year, that “yesterday’s bombing of Al-Khadra is a cowardly terrorist act, and that missiles fell on Iraqis and wounded them.”

“We will not accept any attack on the diplomatic missions,” he said, adding, “We have arrested a group of suspects in the bombing.”

Al-Kazemi pointed out that “officials responsible for security forces have been arrested and taken to prison after the recent bombing.”

Shafaq News / The Iraqi Cabinet approved on Monday the country’s financial budget for the next year 2021 in preparation for sending it to Parliament for a vote.

The approval came after an emergency session of the Council of Ministers that lasted for three consecutive days.

A statement issued by the office of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, received by Shafaq News, stated that the Cabinet voted on the federal budget for the fiscal year 2021, in the extraordinary session held today, Monday, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

On Monday, a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Interior arrived in Erbil Governorate.

The representative of the Interior and Peshmerga Ministries in the Iraqi Operations Room, Major General Abdul Khaleq Talat, according to Kurdish media, said, “The federal delegation has arrived in Erbil and is scheduled to visit Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk and Soran later.”
