Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, to the US ambassador: The cross-components alliance represents an entry point to solve the Iraqi crisis

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The head of the Iraqi coalition, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the US ambassador to Baghdad, Matthew Toller, bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, stressing “the development of relations in a way that serves the two countries and preserves the sovereignty of Iraq.”

Mr. Ammar al-Hakim stressed during the meeting, according to a statement from his office, the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of it “the importance of developing the political process and responding to the changes that have occurred in the social reality in Iraq,” noting that “the cross-component alliance represents an entry point for resolving the Iraqi crisis and a strategic variable in the political equation.” .

Regarding the regional situation, he referred to “the importance of dialogue, calm and focusing on the participants,” stressing “the necessity of dialogue and standing in the middle and giving precedence to the public interest over private interests.”

Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim stressed “the importance of investing human energies and stimulating the Iraqi economy by diversifying sources of income, moving lagging sectors, combating corruption and controlling expenditures to overcome the complex crisis resulting from the decline in oil prices and the outbreak of the Corona virus.”
