Baghdad / Obelisk: The Organizing Committee of the Baghdad International Book Fair announced the session (Muzaffar al-Nawab), Tuesday, November 24, 2020, the launch of the exhibition from the period 9 to 19 December.

The committee stated, in a statement received by the obelisk, that the capital, Baghdad, for the period from 9 to 19 December next, will host the Iraq International Book Fair, the (Muzaffar al-Nawab) session, and the exhibition, organized by the Al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts, will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and in cooperation with The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, in coordination with the Iraqi Publishers and Writers Association, on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair in Mansour.

She added: More than 300 publishing houses from 21 Arab and foreign countries participate in the exhibition, and its pavilions include about one million titles covering various fields of knowledge, creativity and art. The exhibition opens its doors at 10 am and continues until 10 pm during the eleven days. , Including evenings of folk dancing, singing and poetry, in addition to discussion tables and seminars on a variety of topics. Dozens of Iraqi and Arab artistic and cultural figures will participate in it.

And she continued: The exhibition will be held in five large halls, and the street that separates the halls is devoted to booksellers and booksellers in Al-Mutanabbi Street, and the best known cafes in the country. The committee called on the reading audience to expect their attendance at ten o’clock in the morning of the ninth of December at the international fairgrounds, Al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and the Arts.
