[Erbil – Where]
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the former president of the Kurdistan region, Masoud Barzani, accused representatives of the Shiite and Sunni components in the Federal Parliament of stabbing the back of the Kurdish people on Thursday.
Barzani said, in a statement: “It is with great regret that the political parties from the Shiite and Sunni components in the Iraqi parliament have once again appeared, and the people of Kurdistan have resorted to using the budget and sustenance of the people of Kurdistan as a card to put pressure on the Kurdistan region.”
He added: “This matter happens while many agreements were concluded in past periods between the regional government and the federal government and they have not been implemented. The law that the Iraqi parliament has enacted without taking into consideration the partnership and the agreements concluded, we consider it a political paper and pressure on the region and punishing the people of Kurdistan, and transgressing principles Partnership, harmony and balance between the components of Iraq, and we consider it a tightening of the screws on the people of Kurdistan and their fight. ”
He continued, “It is clear that they have made their prior decision to fight the region and the people of Kurdistan, and with this logic they are dealing with the constitution, agreements, rights and demands of the people of Kurdistan.”
And he added, “It is worth expressing my gratitude for the unity of the position of the representatives of Kurdistan in Baghdad, who defended with a unified position the rights of the people of Kurdistan and stood against the warring policy of the people of Kurdistan, which appeared within the Iraqi parliament.
He called on the presidencies of the region, the parliament and the government to “hold a meeting with representatives of Kurdistan in Baghdad and the political parties of the region to reach a joint decision in this regard,” calling on them to “take a decision that is at the level of responsibility to address the problems and preserve the dignity of our people and put an end to the policies and actions aimed at punishing People of Kurdistan. ”
