The start of the meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee and the Ministry of Finance regarding the “ borrowing law ”

The meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee began today, Wednesday, with the advanced cadre of the Ministry of Finance to discuss the draft law on financing the fiscal deficit and agree on a final formula leading to its passage in Parliament.

The (Baghdad Today) correspondent said, “The meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee with the advanced staff in the Ministry of Finance, started this morning, Wednesday, in order to put the final touches on the draft law on financing the fiscal deficit.

In addition, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, explained in a televised statement that the most important question we will direct to the Ministry of Finance is to know the total spending data.

Yesterday, Tuesday (October 27, 2020), First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi chaired a meeting of the Finance Committee regarding the draft law on financing the fiscal deficit .

Al-Kaabi said in a brief statement, which he received (Baghdad today), that “Al-Kaabi chaired an important meeting of the Finance Committee to discuss the draft law on financing the financial deficit .”

The House of Representatives had finished, in a previous session, the first reading of the draft law on financing the fiscal deficit, which includes financing the salaries of employees and retirees.
