The Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, announced today, Tuesday, that the new Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, will take the constitutional oath tomorrow, Wednesday.
Al-Ghanim wrote in a tweet on “Twitter”: “I met His Highness the Emir shortly before and it was decided that His Highness would take the constitutional oath before the Council tomorrow morning at 11 am.”
The Council of Ministers called the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawwaf the Emir of the country to succeed his brother Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who died today, Tuesday, in the United States, where he was receiving treatment.
Today, Tuesday, the Amiri Diwan in Kuwait announced the death of the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In his statement, he said: “It is with great sadness and sorrow that we mourn to the Kuwaiti people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the friendly peoples of the world, the death of the late His Highness, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, who moved next to his Lord.”
