Barzani calls for a session of the Kurdistan Parliament regarding the reform project and dialogue with Baghdad

Shafaq News / The Prime Minister of Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani demanded, on Saturday, to hold a special session for the regional parliament regarding the implementation of the reform project and the path of dialogue with Baghdad.

Barzani’s office said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that “it is decided that the Kurdistan Parliament will hold a special meeting in the coming days at the request of the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.”

The statement stated, “Barzani will deliver during the session a speech regarding the implementation of the reform work program for the ninth cabin, the course of dialogues with the federal government, and explaining the financial and health situation in the region and the consequences of the further outbreak of the Corona virus . ”

According to the statement, “according to Article 66, the second paragraph of the Parliament’s internal system, the prime minister can request a session of Parliament in order to provide clarifications on any issue. The Parliament Presidency must organize the session within a period not exceeding 14 days.”
