Baghdad Today – Special

On Sunday, August 30, 2020, an informed source said that a new Kurdish delegation has arrived in the capital, Baghdad, to conclude a comprehensive agreement that guarantees the arrival of the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees for a full year.

The source said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), “A Kurdish delegation arrived in the capital, Baghdad, to discuss many outstanding issues between the federal government and the regional government, including the arrival of salaries for the Kurdistan Region employees for a full year.”

He added that “the delegation represents two ministries in the regional government and includes a group of experts and managers in the Ministry of Finance of the region and the Ministry of Planning to discuss the region’s share of the budget next year.”

On the other hand, a member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Othman Karim, confirmed that Kurdistan demands its full share of the budget, provided that a comprehensive agreement is made to ensure the smooth arrival of salaries for employees for a full year.

Karim said an exclusive interview with (Baghdad Today), “Everyone talks that the Kurds’ share is 17% of the budget, but it has not reached this figure over the past years, and this is documented with numbers and documents.”

He added that “Kurdistan wants to ensure that the employees’ salaries are sent in full with the salaries of the Peshmerga and the rights of the martyrs and the Anfalites, similar to the rest of the Iraqi provinces, as well as handing over the farmers their dues.” A formal agreement between the two governments does not end once certain situations occur in Baghdad, as happened after the resignation of former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.

(Baghdad :: Al Furat News) Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed, on Sunday, that no one will be allowed to drag the country into the state, while he revealed a real supreme committee in major corruption cases and exceptional crimes.

In a televised speech on the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), Al-Kazemi said, “We have started counting the wounded and the victims of the demonstrations to obtain their entitlements, and we will not hesitate to apply the law against the aggressors on public and private property.”

He declared, “Facing the assault on the security services and medical personnel with the strictest legal measures.”

The following is the text of Al-Kazemi’s speech on the tenth day of Muharram: –

In the name of God, the Compassionate,

the Compassionate, the sons of my honorable people. I

address you on the remembrance of this solemn day with his sorrow .. the

tenth day of Muharram.

The affliction of the family of Muhammad (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions)

The great events and challenges in the history of nations have always been lessons to take advantage of and turn them into a building, production, and supportive energy for the values of society.

In known cases, failure to benefit from lessons may turn into a stabbing attack in the heart of this ummah.

The Iraqis faced all the challenges and carried the burden of severe wounds on their shoulders, generation after generation, and

arrived to this day, and they are a united, diverse people sheltering in the tent of Iraq, the great Iraq.

This would not have happened if the Iraqis had not turned the lessons of history into a material of social production and into high moral human values.

O sisters and brothers who commemorated the night of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his brother Al-Abbas and their companions.

Thank you for your commitment to the rules of social distancing imposed by the Coronavirus.

Iraq will remain throughout history because its people have benefited from the lessons of the past and turned them into a material for social cohesion,

 not civil wars and revenge.

Al-Hussein Fajr ..

Al-Hussein tolerance ..

Al-Hussein is my spiritual faith.

Hussein is sympathy for the poor ..

Hussein is the master of the martyrs ..

Hussein is a prayer for the martyrs ..

Al Hussein .. who planted his name in the eyes of our eyes ..

and in the depths of our hearts ..

is the lesson of peace that we offered to humanity the

blood of Hussein ..

and the blood of all the martyrs, yesterday, today and tomorrow. On its

aftermath and its fragrance all the Iraqi palm trees sprang up .. and all Iraqis have benefited ..

every drop of martyr’s blood is a message to all of us:

(Beware of the spirit of revenge .. beware of

hatred …

embrace some of you and rebuild your homeland, do not destroy it

 Iraq first,

 Iraq second and

third ..

 Iraq first. ..

This is the Hussein who raised us on his values generation after generation ..

Hussein, who redeemed the spirit of Islam ..

and honored the land of Iraq with his body ..

Al-Hussein … who lived as a symbol when the trace of his killers ended, just as the trace of all the bloodshed of the infallible Iraqis will end, unlawfully.

My family ..

I extend my deepest condolences to the rational authority and its supreme position, His Eminence, Ali al-Sistani, may God bless him,

who preserved the tolerant legacy of Hussain .. and

refused to impose the principles and values of Hussein (peace be upon him) in political or sectarian maneuvers.

The reference that protected the heritage of Al-Bayt, the heritage of social solidarity.

And scientific, moral and religious expansion …

and a sincere national vision.

Our beloved people … the great people of Iraq

have completed the first phase of this government’s commitment to inquire about the facts about the October events, by inventorying the numbers of martyrs and beginning to hand them over their legal entitlements.

We have also started inventorying the wounded and we will end their entitlements.

While we support freedom of expression and affirm that the Iraqi peaceful demonstrations are a path of reform and correction, we

affirm … that the dignity of our armed forces and our security apparatus is not subject to controversy, and

that we will not hesitate to apply the law against aggressors on public and private property and those who abuse the principle of peaceful protest.

The assault on the security services, medical personnel, the prestige of the state and the law, we will face it with the most severe legal measures, and we call upon our authentic clans to reject the transgressions committed in their name.

The calls that we hear to bear arms will be confronted with the force of law.

Only the state bears responsibility, the responsibility for

revenge … the state does not retaliate, the

state promotes justice and takes the right of the victim by punishing the aggressor.

We have a choice between the state … and no state.

The state has a wall among the values of Imam Hussain … a wall of the values of humanity, one of the values of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his family and companions, and the sacrifices of Iraqis ..

We will not allow anyone, party, or malicious intent to drag us into non-state.

This term is the product of years of Challenging the Iraqi identity and Iraq, the existence of Iraq and the people of Iraq. This challenge will not continue, and the state will regain its address.

Early elections are our firm commitment to our people, and the government has fulfilled its commitment according to the ministerial platform voted by the esteemed Parliament by setting the date for the elections.

Therefore ,  I call on all Iraqis to prepare by registering in the biometric card, which we consider necessary to ensure the integrity of the elections .. race

to ensure that The registration level is up to everyone who is entitled to vote.

To all those concerned with the peaceful political process and those calling for the state and the preservation of the state and the prestige of the state, they must prepare and prepare the ground for honest competition in accordance with the legal rules in early, fair and just elections.

I call on the political forces and popular actors to unite at this sensitive stage … and the government is equally caring for all.

Our dear people across the nation

decided to form a supreme investigative committee, linked to the office of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to investigate major corruption and exceptional crimes cases, and it will grant all the powers required to achieve the prestige of law in society and restore the rights of the state and the citizen from the corrupt and aggressors.

We have the determination to adhere to our obligations, and we will be on the covenant with our people to cross this stage to a land of safety, and we affirm that the fugitive weapons and gangs of crime, assassination and kidnapping are a dagger in the heart of the country and in the heart of every Iraqi,

and the security forces have moved with all their energy and are conducting extensive investigations that we will announce upon completion of In order to obtain redress for the families of the victims and punish the perpetrators.

There is no one above the law ..

There is no one above Iraq .. Great Iraq

Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) said his famous saying:

“What a humiliation of us.” And the

generations after him repeated: “Oh, look at our consciences.”

Ashura’s message is the message of peace

Hussain’s message is peace

and peace be upon you And God’s mercy and blessings.

Parliament staff. “

He added, “Representatives’ attendance at the next parliamentary sessions also depends on the importance of the session’s agenda. If the schedule is important, and important laws are voted on, such as the election law or the Federal Court, and others, then surely there will be a quorum for the purpose of passing them, but if the schedule is without Importantly, the majority of MPs will not attend, especially with the fear of infection with the Coronavirus. “

The spread of the Corona virus in Iraq contributed to stopping the holding of Parliament’s sessions, for fear of the spread of the coronavirus in the halls of parliament, and the infection of parliamentarians, especially after more than 50 deputies were infected with the virus, and the death of the head of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Ghaida Kambash.

Al-Aqabi said in an interview with (Baghdad Today) that “the work mechanism requires holding sessions outside the official framework and the completion of electoral districts does not necessarily need to hold formal parliamentary sessions,” indicating that “it may take place through meetings between the political blocs, the legal committee and those concerned, and an agreement is reached through it.” Mechanism for distributing constituencies and holding formal sessions for voting afterwards. “

He added, “Parliament stopped holding its sessions due to the spread of the Corona virus in the country and the high level of risk, as well as the infection of more than 50 deputies with the virus, which necessitated stopping the resumption of the sessions, but now the holding of sessions has become an imperative to start completing the election law.”

A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee continued, “The presence of seriousness in passing the election law and agreeing to a compromise solution in the districts may need two weeks to resolve the law, indicating that the political blocs are ready to hold the elections and the issue of propaganda does not need time, but the main issue remains is the protection of the electoral fund and the will of the voter.” And to address the great dilemma that we fear from parties that have sway and influence over the electoral centers. “

This is on one side, and the other side was done.” Two people have been arrested so far, in addition to the issuance of eight judicial arrest warrants against those who committed these practices. ”
