The Border Ports Authority held, today, Tuesday, a meeting of the Diwani Order Working Group headed by the head of the Commission to automate procedures at the border crossings.
In a statement, the agency “National News Center” received a copy of it: “In implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, Chairman of the Border Ports Authority, chaired the work team of the Customs and Border Ports Project to automate customs procedures in accordance with the Diwani Order (22) for the year 2020. For the purpose of organizing the work of the border crossings and taking modern electronic measures to eliminate administrative and financial corruption and waste of public money and the provisions for controlling state imports at border crossings, and to initiate the implementation of the decisions of the Diwaniya Order which confirmed that the Ministry of Finance takes the required measures to complete the automation of customs and tax work within a period not exceeding 6 months”.
The statement stated, “The meeting reviewed the overall measures taken by government departments to automate administrative and financial transactions at border crossings to control the waste of public money, maximize state resources and support the federal budget in light of the current economic conditions,” indicating that “the technical work team for information technology in the Authority The border crossings reviewed the program prepared by them to audit tax receipts to reduce the phenomenon of fraud, after controlling many of these violations to ensure that there is no tampering and forgery in them.
Al-Waeli stated, according to the statement, that “this meeting came to know the steps taken by the customs authority and its contracts to implement the diwani order and to know the technical capabilities that exist in other departments at the level of information staff and the programs prepared by them to automate their procedures to proceed with the state’s orientations and the success of its reform program and control of its resources. Finance at various levels, “stressing” the importance of concerted efforts to make this national project a success for everyone to eliminate the accumulations of past years from the spread of mafias of corruption and manipulators of public money by taking serious steps to record in history a real victory counted for all. ”
