Baghdad / Al-Akhbariya
Today, Monday, the MP for the movement of the new generation, Yusra Rajab, revealed that a summoning order had been issued against former Finance Minister Fouad Hussein for investigation on charges of wasting public money and exploiting the position.
In a statement read by Al-Akhbariya, Ragab said, “About 30 deputies have filed a complaint against the current foreign minister and former finance minister Fouad Hussein on charges of wasting public money and exploiting the position at the time.”
She added, “The judiciary issued an order to bring Hussein in accordance with Article 340 due to the waste of more than six trillion dinars and the abuse of the position.”
Fouad Hussein holds the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs currently in the government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and several political blocs objected to his assumption of the position of Foreign Affairs, but the “political consensus” put him on the cabinet chair.
