Al-Kazemi: They are serious about solving the problems of the Christians … and Sako: A large number of them want to return to Iraq

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, received today, Sunday, Patriarch Mar Louis Raphael I Sako, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch, and a number of bishops.

Patriarch Sako referred to the success of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in his clear handling of the important files, expressing his hope for the continuation of this approach that meets the aspirations of the people and enables him to address many of the challenges facing the country, indicating that the Church supports Al-Kazemi’s steps towards achieving security and stability for the whole Iraq.

 Patriarch Sako emphasized that Christians are proud of their Iraqi identity, and they have become more reassured, in light of the serious handling of the government of Mr. Al-Kazemi’s with the Christian file, indicating that there are a large number of them wanting to return to Iraq.

Al-Kazemi welcomed Patriarch Saint Louis Sacco and his accompanying delegation, and affirmed that Iraq is the country of everyone, and that Christians are the original children of the country, and there is no difference between the people of the same country, as everyone is a partner in building the future of Iraq.

 And that his door is open to all Iraqis, and we are serious to provide assistance to our people Christians, solve their problems, and we are pleased that the Christians back to Iraq, and contribute to the reconstruction, Iraqis of all sects, are eager for a new Iraq believes in peace and reject violence
