{International: Al Furat News} The United States announced that it will continue the strategic dialogue with Iraq regarding the future relations between the two countries and the fate of its forces in the country.

“We will continue the strategic dialogue with the Iraqi government later this month,” said US Central Command chief Gen. Kenneth McKinsey, in a press statement.

And between “we have deployed missile defense systems to protect the Green Zone and protect our forces in Iraq.”

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi is scheduled to visit Washington this month and head the Iraqi delegation in the second round of the strategic dialogue with the United States.

It is noteworthy that the US embassy in the Green Zone used a missile system last month and prevented its targeting with Katyusha rockets.

Security sources indicated that the embassy “operated {C –RAM}, which is an integrated short-term, anti-missile, mortar and Katyusha system, and was installed at the end of February 2020 to protect the embassy’s headquarters.”
