Baghdad / news

Iraqi political expert, Karm Nehme, confirmed on Thursday that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, shocked his supporters by sitting with what he described as “rogue sectarian militias.”

Nima told Al-Akhbariya that “Muqtada al-Sadr met representatives of the Asaib al-Haq movement led by Qais Khazali, in addition to the leader of the Al-Najaba movement, Akram Al-Kaabi, and the leader of the Brigades of Sayed Al-Shuhada Abu Alaa Al-Wala’i.”

He explained that “the meeting of al-Sadr made a shocking scene for his supporters, who did not imagine that their leader could sit with what he described as brazen sectarian militia leaders.”
