Angry protesters, on Wednesday, burned the headquarters of the Badr Organization, the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement and the Islamic Dawa Party after announcing the death of the civil activist Thaer al-Tayyib, as a result of wounds sustained after he was targeted with an explosive device.
Al-Akhbariya correspondent said that “angry demonstrators in Diwaniya burned the headquarters of the Badr Organization and the Dawa Party and the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement in protest against the death of Thaer al-Tayyib.”
He added, “The security tension prevails in the governorate after the spread of armed elements in the center of the city, demanding revenge for the killers of the activist, Thaer al-Tayyib.
