ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will dispatch a delegation to Baghdad on Sunday to discuss the finalization of an agreement between Erbil and Baghdad over oil and budget disputes, KRG Spokesperson Jutyar Adil said.
Erbil said last week that they were “closer than ever” to a final agreement so to address the disputes with Baghdad by agreeing to submit 250,000 barrels of oil daily from 1st January 2020 to Baghdad, and receiving full share of KRG’s budget in return.
Adil told Kurdistan 24 that Iraqi Prime Minister’s resignation would not impact the progress already made in the negotiations with Baghdad, and a delegation will visit the capital city on Sunday as scheduled.
Also, KRG Representative to Baghdad, Faris Issa, confirmed to BasNews that the preparations to receive the delegation form Erbil have already concluded, and that the meetings for tomorrow will be held on time.
