(Baghdad: Euphrates News) revealed the parliamentary finance committee, the most prominent in the proposal to abolish the financial privileges of officials in the Iraqi state, which was approved by the House of Representatives on Tuesday evening.
Committee chairman Haitham al-Jubouri said in a press conference with a number of members of the Committee, “The proposal of the law abolished rent allowances for members of the House of Representatives and treatment allocations in the three presidencies and state institutions and reduce the number of cars and determine the transfer of fuel disbursements to the officials of Capon for fuel rations.”
He added that “reducing the number of officials’ cars and determining them and settling the salaries of protection elements to prevent their acquisition by officials and deputies, stopping the chartering of private aircraft in any way and at private expense, and canceling and withdrawing the protections of all former officials, the three presidencies and their advisers since 2003.”
Al-Jubouri pointed to “the recommendation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to abolish all the regiments of protection for the three presidencies and the ministers and special grades, and cancel the allocation of hospitality to the three presidencies and make them at private expense.”
