Iraqi government spokesman Saad al-Hadithi said on Friday that the government would resign if the Iraqi parliament votes.

Speaking to Sky News, al-Hadithi said he accepted the parliament’s decisions on the government, even if the government’s resignation would resign.

He added that “the resignation of the government will turn it into a caretaker government, which represents an obstacle to the implementation of the demands of the demonstrators.”
