Parliament Speaker Mohammad Halbousi announced on Sunday the end of the second legislative term after being extended to one month.

“Saturday, August 3, is the end of the second legislative term / the first legislative year of the fourth parliamentary session,” Halbousi said in a statement to Shafaq News.

He called Halbousi “members of the House of Representatives to continue to exercise their oversight role and presence in the offices of the Council in the provinces.”
