The Baghdad Directorate of Passports Sulaimaniyah, announced changes in Iraqi passports, noting that they will be electronic.
“The government in Baghdad told us that the Iraqi passports will be electronic, and that a special logo will be placed on the passport for each province,” Brigadier General Salar Abdullah said in a press statement.
He added, “The Directorate of Passports addressed the Sulaimaniyah Provincial Council in order to choose a special logo for the province, noting that after reaching an agreement on this matter will send the logo to Baghdad.”
“The directorates of Sulaimaniyah, Kalar and Rania passports were able to issue 67,119 passports to citizens during the first six months of this year,” he said.
