US delegation to Barzani: improved relations between the region and Baghdad in the interest of both sides

(Baghdad: al-Furat News) President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Massoud Barzani, with a senior delegation from the US State Department, on Thursday, the political situation in Iraq and the region, and threats to support the terrorist.
A statement from his office that “Barzani, received today at the resort of Salah al-Din, a senior delegation from the US Department of State, including David Satterfield, Deputy Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs Acting, and Joe Hood, deputy US ambassador to Iraq, and Steve Vickin US consul in Erbil, Powell Lakarima, head of military operations against Da’ash. 
The statement added that “the guest delegation conveyed special greetings to US Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mike Pompio to President Barzani, and discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region,” stressing that “improved relations between the region and Baghdad is in the interest of both sides.” 
The two sides stressed that “threats to support the terrorist continue to pose a threat to security and stability in Iraq, Syria and the whole region.”
