The New York Times / via the adviser of the Security Council of the Kurdistan Region pleased Barzani on Tuesday expressed concern about the increasing activity of the organization of Daed in four Iraqi provinces.
This came during his meeting with US envoy to the International Coalition in Iraq and Syria, William Robock, as Barzani expressed his concern about the increase in activity in many provinces, including Anbar, Mosul, Diyala and Kirkuk.
He stressed the need for Iraq and its international partners to address basic political, economic and security challenges in parallel with the military campaign.
Barzani welcomed Ambassador Robok’s calls for closer security coordination between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi security forces in the disputed areas.
