(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received on Saturday the presidents and members of the House of Representatives participating in the summit of Parliaments of neighboring countries, which ended its work in Baghdad today.
“Iraq today is a meeting point for all neighboring countries and all its brothers,” Abdul Mahdi said in a statement received by Al-Furat News.
“We want to cooperate with everyone and work to build a network of relations that serves the security and stability of our region and the interests of our peoples and achieve the development and economic prosperity of all our countries,” he said.
The statement said that “the meeting was held in the presence of President Barham Saleh and Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi.”
The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, today witnessed the convening of a conference of parliaments of Iraq’s neighboring countries in the presence of six countries namely Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Iran and Turkey. The final communique agreed to support the stability and security of the region, pointing out that Iraq has defeated terrorism and defended the region. is over
