Sistani’s policy issued directives concerning Iraq and Iran and an economic demand for the crowd

Twilight News

A prominent Shi’ite cleric in Iraq, Ali al-Sistani, has again opposed the participation of clerics in politics, or any of them held executive positions in the government, and demanded the popular crowd to stay away from economic activity.

According to the editor of the magazine “the right of the nation,” Hassan Asadi Zeid Abadi, the directives of Sistani came when he received a number of scholars of the estate in the Iranian city of Qom.

“Sistani stressed during the meeting that he asked the religious scholars in Iraq not to go to politics, and if they participate in the government, they should give up the uniforms of religious scholars,” wrote Abadi, a researcher of human rights and international law, through his official account on Twitter. .

He added that “the reference Sistani also demanded the popular crowd factions, not to engage in any economic activity in the country,” noting that “Sistani expressed concern about the livelihood of Iranian citizens in the current circumstances.”

Sistani opposes the regime of the rule of the jurist and does not believe in the assumption of clerics for political or executive positions, contrary to what is common in Iran.

None of the Shi’a clerics believed in the absolute mandate of the jurist whom Khomeini considered. Indeed, many Shi’a scholars opposed Khomeini in his theory of the mandate of the Faqih, its limits and how to apply them.

Most Shiite clerics in Iran believe in the narrow circle of al-Faqih, which does not allow clerics to establish Islamic regimes, as this is one of the infallible characteristics of the imam.
