The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, called on Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to proceed with the completion of his government and the selection of non-partisan ministers, especially for the posts of defense and interior.
“You know that proving your chance of success has been determined by six months to a year, and success will not be your ally if your government and ministers are partisan and in accordance with abhorrent sectarian expectations,” Sadr said in a statement to Abdulmahdi.
