Iraqi economy offers assurances to Arab companies and investors

[Asharq Al-Awsat] Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi received on Monday Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and means of developing them, as well as enhancing the horizons of joint cooperation in several magazines.

The meeting also discussed the appropriate mechanisms to activate a number of trade and investment agreements as well as support parliamentary legislation for trade and investment portfolios to serve both sides.

Al-Halbusi stressed the need to activate friendship committees and strengthen and improve the level of investment relations between the two countries, explaining that Iraq is fertile ground for investment and includes enormous operational potential, and the House of Representatives is working to support Arab companies in the field of investment because of its great potential.
