Abdul Mahdi to the World Bank delegation: Consumer loans weigh the budget

(WAM) – Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received on Thursday Vice-President of the World Bank Group for the Middle East and North Africa and his accompanying delegation.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, that Abdul Mahdi, “stressed that Iraq focuses on investment and provide an environment suitable for him, which will contribute positively to the reconstruction of the country and provide services to citizens.” 
He pointed out that “the dependence should be on productive loans that promote the economy, production and employment, not consumer loans that weigh the budget.” 
The World Bank delegation affirmed the Bank’s continued support of Iraq and cooperation in productive projects, streamlining procedures and helping young people to establish and register projects and develop their capabilities to succeed.
