Abdul Mahdi discusses with the UN Secretary-General’s adviser the support of the international community for Iraq


 

Baghdad / Al-Ghad Press:
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi discussed with the UN Secretary-General’s adviser Thursday the support of the international community for Iraq.

“The Secretary-General’s Special Adviser to the Secretary-General, Karim Khan and his accompanying delegation, met today with the support of the international community for Iraq in the field of reconstruction and the pursuit of terrorist cells,” the Press Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement. And to strengthen the role of Iraq in the region and the world, having been able to win over the gangs and called for terrorism and contributed significantly to reduce the risk of promoting global peace.

“Iraq has made great sacrifices in its fight against terrorism,” he said, adding that “many elements of the terrorist group are carrying foreign nationalities, which requires the international community and these countries to shoulder their responsibilities towards Iraq and the Iraqis who fought on behalf of the world, .

He called on the international community to “support Iraq in the pursuit of these terrorist cells and their elements.”
