Massoud Barzani in Baghdad tomorrow, the first visit after the referendum of separation

The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), head of the reclusive Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, plans to visit the Iraqi capital Baghdad on his first visit after the referendum on secession.

A leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party, “Baghdad today,” that “Massoud Barzani intends to visit the capital Baghdad, on Wednesday, and will meet during the visit with political leaders and Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.”

“The aim of Barzani’s visit, the first of its kind after the referendum on secession, is to send a message of support to the new Iraqi government, headed by Abdul Mahdi, and the emphasis on the need to end all outstanding differences between Arbil and Baghdad.”
