Halabousi confirms to a US official the Parliament’s determination to complete the government formation

President of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi, during a meeting with US Deputy Ambassador to Baghdad, Joe Hood, the Parliament’s intention to complete the government formation soon.

“The Speaker of the House of Representatives received Houd, and during the meeting reviewed the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the importance of continuing to support the United States of Iraq and at all levels.”

The meeting discussed “the efforts of the executive and legislative authorities to ensure the voluntary return of the displaced and to provide them with the necessary services to ensure the normalization of their situation as soon as possible.”

Al-Halbusi stressed “the determination of the House of Representatives to complete the current government formation in such a way as to ensure the acceleration of the implementation of the government program and provide the appropriate ground for reconstruction and resumption of investment in the country and provide employment opportunities.”

The head of the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction Ammar al-Hakim and Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, earlier on Tuesday, the need to complete the cabinet cabin and communication between the government and parliament.
