US embassy policy describes Abdul Mahdi’s composition as “partial government”

The US embassy in Baghdad on Thursday congratulated Adel Abdul Mahdi on his assumption of the post of new prime minister of Iraq and new ministers in his government.

“We continue to encourage the process of completing the formation of the government in order to give all Iraqis a strong, independent and effective governance capable of providing all Iraqis with the services they deserve,” the embassy said in a statement.

“The United States looks forward to working closely with the new government to strengthen its capabilities and strengthen relations between our two countries,” the statement said.

The government of Prime Minister-designate Adel Abdul-Mahdi on Thursday night won the confidence of the parliament, after the deputies approved 14 ministers out of 22, while he will vote on the rest of the ministerial formation later.

Iraq ‘s economy exports 106 million barrels a month with revenues of about $ 8 billion

The Ministry of Oil announced the total oil exports and revenues achieved for the month of September, according to the final statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), amounting to more than 106 million barrels.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Oil Assem Jihad said in a statement that the total quantities exported crude oil for the month of September from the oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to (106) million (795) and (22) barrels, with revenues of (7) billion and (919) million and (848) thousand dollars, while the statistical record of exports from the fields of Kirkuk.

Jihad said the average price per barrel was (74,159) dollars.

He pointed out that the exported quantities were loaded by (38) international companies of different nationalities, from the ports of Basra and Khor al-Amayah and monoliths on the Gulf.
