The Iraqi Airways announced on Saturday the launch of electronic booking programs for citizens on board aircraft and low cost travel to various destinations of the green bird.

“The company has launched two modern programs to develop its business,” said Miran Farid, director general of the company under the Ministry of Transport, in a statement carried by Al-Sabah newspaper. The first is the electronic reservation system for citizens from anywhere, after it was limited to airlines , Including the second (low travel) for a number of destinations, including (Baghdad – Najaf – Dammam) and vice versa, in addition to the preparation of prices of groups in sectors: Karachi, Dhaka, Mombi and Ahmedabad during the month of Muharram al-Haram.

“The move also included sectors such as Kuala Lumpur, Ankara, Oman and Delhi, as well as encouraging non-refundable prices for sectors such as Oman, Iran, Kuwait and London,” he said.

“These measures are adopted by the national carrier in accordance with its plan to launch the low travel season for the various sectors of the national carrier, as well as provide excellent services for passengers and at competitive prices with other airlines,” he said, adding that the company has recently introduced several regional and international destinations at competitive prices And the other is encouraging. “

Farid said that “the coming days will witness a higher increase in the demand for travel, especially with the Umrah season and the visit of the forty and the start of the low price season,” pointing out that “the company has achieved an increase in the cost of aircraft and other technical works provided by the unit of the arena and external stations, to domestic and foreign airlines Inside Baghdad International Airport. “
