Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Hussein al-Luaibi on Thursday called on US oil companies to participate and invest in liquidation projects, gas and infrastructure.
“The oil minister, Jabbar Ali Hussein al-Luaibi, received today, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Beck and the US ambassador to Baghdad, Douglas Seelman and the accompanying delegation,” said the Office of Allaibi media in a statement received by “Al-Ghad Press” During the meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector.
Al-Luaibi stressed on the importance of strengthening relations and development in all fields, especially in oil and gas. He called on American oil companies to “participate and invest in liquidation projects, gas, infrastructure and others because of their expertise and advanced technology in this field.”
He stressed “the ministry’s efforts to implement a number of strategic projects that contribute to the development of the oil industry in the country.”
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Beck said “the desire of his country’s companies to enhance joint cooperation with Iraq in all fields, especially in the oil and gas industry.”
