[Asharq Al-Awsat] Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Adel Abdul-Mahdi on Sunday met with a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and exchanged views on forming a new government.
The delegation consisted of two members of the Political Bureau Aso Mamand and Khaled Shawani and Pavel Talabani, the son of former Secretary General Jalal Talabani.
During the meeting, they discussed the formation of the new Iraqi government, and the delegation of the National Union presented its views and demands and declared that it is with a national government in which all parties participate.
The delegation of the Union demanded that the election entitlements and the principles of the constitution be the basis for the new government and take into account the rights of the Kurdish people, according to the official website of the party’s media.
