Shafaq News / The French ambassador to Baghdad during his meeting with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Sunday, the need to unite the Kurdish speech in Baghdad in the discussions and active participation in the process of forming the next Iraqi government.
In a statement to the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Barzani welcomed the French ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Obert, adding that during the meeting, which was attended by French Consul General Arbel Dominique Mas, the French ambassador congratulated Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in particular on the success of the election process in Iraq. The election process and the formation of the new Iraqi government were highlighted.
He added that Obert stressed in this regard the need to unite the Kurdish speech in Baghdad in the discussions and active participation in the process of forming the next Iraqi government, praising the efforts of Erbil and Baghdad to resolve part of the problems through dialogue and mutual understanding.
The statement pointed out that Barzani, for his part, expressed his thanks for the role and support of France and President Macaron in the development of French relations with the Kurdistan Region, stressing the importance of the dialogue Erbil Baghdad, which has been addressed part of the problems and differences. And reiterated the determination of the Kurdistan Regional Government to continue in this regard.
Barzani pointed out that the Kurdish political parties are consolidating the discourse in Baghdad and participate in the political process in Iraq and played an active role in forming the new Iraqi government.
A number of issues related to the situation in the region in general and the economic fields dealt with another aspect of this meeting, according to the statement.
