Baghdad today – Baghdad
The Parliamentary Fact-Finding Commission confirmed that it had evidence to prove that the Iraqi elections were rigged in Jordan while the authorities in Baghdad and Amman called for action.
The head of the committee, MP Adel Nuri, in an appeal to the federal authorities in the Republic of Iraq (control, executive, judicial) and the authorities in Jordan and all members of the Iraqi community there, he said, “It is out of the performance of our humanitarian and national and monitoring
We call on you to take strict measures and intensify monitoring on the Office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in the Jordanian capital Amman and prevent the manipulators from destroying any form or file or document related to the elections that took place from 10 to 12 May.
“We have received almost certain information that there are attempts by influential officials in the UNHCR office in Amman to get rid of the thousands of forms that were manipulated for the purpose of blurring the truth and hiding the threads of fraud and manipulation that took place there.”
He called on “the federal authorities in the Republic of Iraq to intensify efforts and expedite the dispatch of a joint committee of the specialized fact-finding committee and the government fact-finding committee to Amman to put all forms and evidence in order to investigate and open an immediate investigation with the suspects immediately.”
He called on “the security and monitoring authorities in Jordan to intensify monitoring on the Royal Hotel and the Office of the Independent High Electoral Commission for Iraq and monitor the movements of staff in them.”
He called on the Iraqi community in Jordan to monitor any suspicious movement of staff and tighten control and follow them so as not to get rid of the threads of fraud and manipulation until the relevant committees arrive.
He called on Iraqi communities in the diaspora to provide the parliamentary commission of inquiry with all available information, documents, and movements of suspicious personnel to expose counterfeiters, according to the statement.
“We tell you that we have come a long way in our investigations and have obtained documents and evidence to confirm the manipulation, forgery and legal irregularities,” he concluded.
