The Cabinet voted on Tuesday during its regular session chaired by Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi on several resolutions including voting on a loan that supports social stability in Iraq.
A statement issued by the Information Office of the Prime Minister received “Al-Ghad Press”, a copy of it, that “the Council directed in conjunction with the start of the harvest of farmers for the wheat crop to hand over the farmers their dues within a period of two weeks.”
The statement added that “the vote on the report of the Republic of Iraq on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW),” noting that “the Council voted on the law of the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on the recognition and implementation of foreign arbitral awards (New York 1958).
The statement pointed out that “the vote on the emergency project loan to support social stability and steadfastness in Iraq,” noting that “the Council voted on the loans of the Basra water project phase II and the irrigation sector project phase II.”
The statement pointed out that “the Council discussed the regulations related to investment and amend its instructions, especially in the housing sector to launch major projects in this sector and encourage investors to save hundreds of thousands of job opportunities in all Iraqi provinces and reduce unemployment and provide a decent life for citizens.”
