Saad al-Hadithi, a spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office of Information, revealed on Friday, the lifting of the international air embargo on Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports, and the disbursement of salaries of health and education staff in the region, revealing progress in the payroll files and oil and border crossings between the federal government and the region, Friday, the first international flight from Erbil airport to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia carrying pilgrims from the region to perform Umrah in Mecca.

Al-Hadithi said in a press statement that «the subject of airports in the Kurdistan region has reached its final stages and is about to be decided», adding that «procedural aspects are completed to implement this agreement and then will be lifted the ban on international flights, which is very close» , Indicating that «the salaries of the staff of the region will be launched soon, as confirmed by Prime Minister Haider Abadi at his press conference last Tuesday».
