A government pledge to pay the salaries of the education and health of the region and the return of flights before Norouz

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi pledged to lift the ban on international flights to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports ahead of the Norouz holidays, culminating in the 21st of this month, according to an official statement.

According to the statement, during the telephone call, “to discuss ways to address the problems between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad, where he pledged to send the salaries of employees of the Ministries of Education and Health soon through the Kurdistan Regional Government.”

The statement said that Abadi stressed that “international flights from the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah will resume before Nawroz.”

Nawruz is on March 21 every year, as the Kurdish people celebrate Eid in Iraq, Iran, Turkey and Syria.
