Kurdistan points to the files of the solution, but Abadi does not need the committees and waiting for practical steps

A spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government, Sven Dziyi, on Sunday, expressed the hope that positive meetings between the heads of the federal government and the region will translate into practical steps.

He said Dziay in a statement to the twilight News, that the meetings are positive between Baghdad and the region and welcomed by the provincial government and the meeting in Munich is the third between Abadi and Barzani, but there is still no practical step.

He added that some issues could be resolved by a decision of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and do not need more committees or other technical steps, for example ending the suspension of international flights to and from airports in the region, especially after the presence of federal government employees at those airports.

The provincial government spokesman stressed that all files should not be mixed together.

The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, saw that the meeting of the Kurdish delegation in Munich with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi was good.

The meeting of Abadi – the Kurdish delegation headed by Barzani yesterday, on the sidelines of the security conference in Munich, Germany.

The Kurdistan Regional Government described the meeting as “frank” according to a statement.

“The meeting with Mr. Abbadi was good, and we have other meetings to reach results,” Barzani told reporters in Munich on Sunday afternoon.

In addition to Nechirvan Barzani, the delegation of Kurdistan to Munich included the adviser of the Security Council of the region, Massur Barzani, the head of the Department of Foreign Relations Falah Mustafa and the head of the Office of the Presidency of the region Fuad Hussein.

This is the third meeting between Abadi and Nejervan Barzani since the referendum held by the Kurdistan region in September 2017, Baghdad responded with “punitive” measures.
