Budget hurdle
For you, the signs of breaking the crisis hit the obstacle of the budget bill of 2018, in light of the insistence of the Kurdish deputies boycotting the sessions of the parliament, including reading or vote on the budget, in the absence of their observations.
MP Sirwan Abdullah, of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, led by Massoud Barzani, told «Arab Jerusalem»: «There is no evolution in the issue of passing the draft budget bill 2018, because of the neglect of the rights of the Kurds, by the federal government», noting that «this method Unfair, and can not be sustained ».
He added: «We demand the rights of the people of the Kurdistan region, including the name of the Kurdistan region in the draft law, in addition to the proportion of 17%», pointing out that «all components of Iraq agreed on this percentage in 2005, and the change today by Abadi, is not Constitutional and unfair, especially as Iraq has not been a census of the population, not to mention the inclusion of the rights of Peshmerga within the country’s defense system, and salaries of employees and farmers’ entitlements ».
The Kurdistan MP, that all these things must find their way to resolve, being «violations of legal and constitutional». He continued: «If the federal government does not want the region to be separated, it must provide its dues, and provide legal rights and constitutional».
The Kurdish political blocs are still boycotting parliamentary sessions that belong to the budget, in protest against not including their demands in the draft law.
According to the MP from the Kurdistan Islamic Group Ahmad Hama Rashid, «Arab Jerusalem», «after the government to amend some paragraphs of the budget and sent back to Parliament, it requires the re-read the first reading, after the absence of legal status of the draft law sent the first time .
He stressed the position of the Kurdish MPs with «remarks of the deputies of the provinces destroyed, and the other oil-producing».
