URGENT Abadi heads to Munich for security conference

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi left Friday evening for Baghdad for Germany’s security conference.
On Friday, the 54th Munich Security Conference opened with a high international presence to discuss several international and regional security issues, including thorny issues in the Arab world and its surroundings.
The session is attended by the heads of 21 countries and governments, more than 80 foreign ministers and defense ministers and more than 600 invited managers from international companies, academics and representatives of civil society organizations.
Participants included British Prime Minister Theresa May, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
