Compensation of employees of the Kurdistan Region

Amendments to the Budget of 2018
For his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri said during the meeting that the government sent on Thursday a modified version of the draft federal budget bill for 2018 and was referred to the Finance Committee, calling them to study the revised version and include the proposed amendments to the project to complete the legislation.
He stressed the need to “hold a technical meeting with Prime Minister Haider Abadi to resolve the amendments and deliberation on the adoption of the federal budget to the benefit of all according to requests submitted,” as quoted by the media committee of parliament in its report sent to “Elaf.”
And faces the adoption of the budget objections to the Kurds to reduce the share of their northern region from 17 percent to 12.67 percent, while demanding the southern provinces to allocate 5 percent of the price of each barrel produced in their local budgets, while calling for the deputies of the western and northern provinces affected by the battles against Daash allocating amounts For the return of displaced persons to their areas and reconstruction.
Jubouri said that the presidency of the Council is working with the Finance Committee and the government to prepare a formula in the budget to meet the demands of all parties, referring to the need to amend the provincial elections law not inconsistent with the date of the meeting as well as the importance of resolving the article on the province of Kirkuk this week, urging deputies to intensify attendance and strive To complete legislation.
He explained that after reviewing the financial committee’s data and the high oil prices and the return of the displaced, the committee will ensure the draft budget item to avoid the need to cut the salaries of employees by 3.8 percent, stressing the keenness of the House of Representatives strongly not to prejudice these salaries.
For its part, the Finance Committee announced its support for the guidance of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to eliminate deductions from the salaries of employees in the budget this year, noting that a vote will be taken on the resolution in this regard.
