In a statement to the Kurdistan delegation, it was reported to the twilight news that it had held talks with a special committee of the federal government under the supervision of Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji, describing the talks as positive.

The statement added that Araji stressed during the meeting to address the differences between Arbil and Baghdad and the need to manage the border crossings and customs, airports and dams in accordance with the Constitution and the law, according to his description.

The statement pointed out that Interior Minister Karim Sinjari, who heads the Kurdistan delegation, stressed that during the talks, the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Civil Aviation Authority and the Border Crossings Authority and the Directorate of Dams and the Directorate of Intelligence put forward all their main and main observations on the regulation of the relationship between the federal government and the provincial government, Intensive and clear with the Baghdad government on the points presented by the members of the government delegation.

The statement added that at the end of the two sides agreed to organize another bilateral meeting in the light of the points agreed upon, pointing out that it was decided to be the next meeting next Monday in Erbil in order to free the two sides a comprehensive package of treatments and solutions that are agreed upon and raise the problems that need To a decision by the Council of Ministers and necessary for the management of activities at the border crossings, civil airports and dams.

The spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior Major General Saad Maan had announced earlier in the day to hold a “fruitful” meeting of the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government headed by Interior Minister Karim Sinjari with the delegation of the Iraqi government headed by the Minister of Interior Federal Qassim Araji, revealing a second meeting between the delegations on Next Monday without specifying the location.

It is noteworthy that a delegation from the Government of Kurdistan headed by Interior Minister Karim Sinjari arrived earlier in the day to the capital Baghdad, in order to negotiate a joint administration of ports and border crossings land and airports.

This is the first official delegation to Kurdistan, which will visit Baghdad after the referendum held on 25 September 2017, which supported 93% of the voters for independence from Iraq, and took Baghdad after several punitive measures against the region, including the ban on international flights from the airports of Kurdistan.
