KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said that the donor conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, scheduled to be hosted by his country in early 2018, will see a new trend in involving the private sector in the reconstruction process.

Khalid al-Jarallah said during his participation in the seminar organized by the Saud al-Nasser al-Sabah diplomatic institute on Wednesday that the State of Kuwait has acted effectively and coordinated with the World Bank as a key partner in the reconstruction of various regions of the world.

Jarallah noted that the next conference for the reconstruction of Iraq will be headed by five parties, represented by the European Union, Iraq, the United Nations, Kuwait and the World Bank.

He pointed out that his country has started contacts with the World Bank through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to formulate the picture and nature of the next conference. He expressed his optimism that the next conference could contribute to overcoming Iraq for the difficult stage caused by the destruction.
