A high-ranking Kurdish delegation is scheduled to leave Saturday for Baghdad to discuss the referendum with central government officials.
A source familiar with the Supreme Council for the referendum, that “the meeting will be devoted to discuss the referendum and relations between Baghdad and Erbil.”
It is noteworthy that the Kurdistan Regional Presidency intends to hold the referendum on schedule on September 25, while the referendum faces rejection of political forces and regional and major countries in addition to the movement of change and the Kurdish Islamic Group.
It is noteworthy that the delegation that will visit Baghdad is a high-level and consists of 9 members and includes representatives of a number of political parties, Turkmen and Christians, except for representatives of the Movement for Change and the Islamic Group.
