TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran’s interior minister Abdul Rida Rahmani Fadhli will visit Iraq next week to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Baghdad and Tehran on the planned 40-day visit, an Iranian official said on Friday.

“The interior ministers of Iran and Iraq will sign a memorandum of understanding next week to hold the 40th ceremony,” the official of the Central Committee of the 40th Al Husseini Majid Akababaei said, adding that “the document and memorandum of understanding on the establishment of the ceremony will be signed during the visit, The Iranian minister to Iraq next week. “

“If the Iraqi government has the necessary capabilities, facilities and infrastructure in the field of technical equipment and appropriate security conditions, the Khosravi border crossing between Iran and Iraq will receive visitors to the quartet as well as the Mehran crossings and its official border crossings between the two countries,” he added.
