The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Friday revealed the first political reaction in Kurdistan to the telephone conversation between regional president Massoud Barzani and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
A member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Saadi Ahmed Bireh, in a statement to (Baghdad today), that “the Kurdish parties in Kurdistan will meet tomorrow with the President of the region Massoud Barzani to discuss the telephone conversation conducted by US Secretary of State Rex Tilerson and Barzani, Indicating that “talk about the decline in positions is still early and can not be declared before our meeting Barzani.”
“The meeting will discuss what the Kurdish delegation will go to Baghdad next week,” he said. “The Baghdad government has not yet offered any alternatives or guarantees to the Kurdish people.”
The US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has asked the President of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani, to postpone the referendum on the secession of the region, scheduled to be held on the 25 of next month, during a telephone conversation between them on Friday.
