Hoshyar Zebari and the US Consul General in Erbil are discussing the independence referendum

In the framework of his meetings with representatives of diplomatic missions in the Kurdistan Region to discuss the issue of the referendum on independence scheduled for the September 25 next in the Kurdistan Region, met with Hoshyar Zebari, leader of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan, on Tuesday, with US Consul General in Arbil, Ken Gross.

Hoshyar Zebari, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic, wrote in a leaflet on his page on the social networking site (Facebook), read him (Basneoz): “We discussed today with the US Consul General in Erbil, the issue of independence referendum and the political process in the Kurdistan Region and the delegation of the province to Baghdad” .

In June and April, Zebari met with British Deputy Ambassador to Baghdad Nick Lata and British Consul General in Arbil, John Sharp, as well as Clarisse Pasteur, Janet Al-Bairda, the Dutch Consul General in Kurdistan Region, and the Austrian Ambassador in Iraq and Jordan. He also met with the French Consul General in Erbil Dominique Mas and other diplomats and representatives of foreign missions in Iraq and Kurdistan.
And Zebari’s meeting on Tuesday, August 8, with the US Consul General on the referendum, the second since June.

The meeting of Kurdish parties and political parties, held on 7 June, under the chairmanship of Massoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, set the 25 September next date for the referendum on the independence of the Kurdistan Region, which will include the Kurdistan regions outside the administration of the region also.
