Maliki concludes his visit to Russia

Vice-President Nuri al-Maliki returned to Baghdad on a three-day visit to Russia.
Maliki met during the visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed with him the development of cooperation between Iraq and Russia in various fields, especially military and economic.
They also ordered the supply of hundreds of T-90 tanks to Iraq as part of a $ 1 billion deal.
During the visit, al-Maliki also discussed with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov the development and expansion of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
And met with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin discussed the developments of regional and international situations and their reflection on security and stability in the Middle East.
Maliki reviewed with President of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvinka the development of parliamentary relations between the two countries.
He visited the shrine of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow’s Aleksandrovsky Park and put a wreath on him.
