I consider Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, a referendum of independence of the Kurdistan region in Iraq is “unacceptable and unacceptable.”
Bagheri said in a speech forum to the leaders of the ground force of the Revolutionary Guards, held in the city of Mashhad, Khorasan province Razavi center [northeast Iran] that this referendum “is the beginning of the crisis and the new challenges in the region.”
He stressed that “Iraq’s neighboring countries do not accept it ever since the preservation of national sovereignty and the unity of its territory is in the interest should all nationalities, sects and various sectors of this country.”
The Kurdish parties agreed on 7 June to hold a referendum next September 25 elections on 6 November.
Iran, Turkey and the United States, Russia and the United Nations, Germany and Baghdad had earlier announced its refusal to hold a referendum Kurdistan independence “for threatening the unity of Iraq.”
The Prime Minister said Haider al-Abadi, on the referendum as “illegal and that the federal government will not be supported or funded by or participate in it,” noting that “the United Nations announced its position on this referendum and it will not participate without the consent of Baghdad,” pointing out that “the region declared himself that the referendum is not binding on independence, but to know the opinion of the Kurdish people. ” http://waradana.net/%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%AA%D8%B1%D9%81%D8%B6-%D8%A7%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%82%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85-%D9%83%D8%B1%D8%AF%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D9%86/
